Cone Denim expands partnership with hemp tech company BastCore

US denim manufacturer Cone Denim has announced that it will expand its partnership with hemp processor BastCore following the launch of the joint US Hemp Collection.

The partnership builds on Cone Denim’s efforts to create new opportunities for collaboration between like-minded companies while providing customers with a sustainable denim offering.

BastCore is responsible for a patent-pending technology and proprietary process that produces clean, mechanically processed hemp fiber at its Alabama facility.

“Cone is extremely proud to work closely with an industry-recognized company like BastCore as we advance our commitment to providing more sustainable, alternative fiber options to our denim community,” said Steve Maggard, President of Cone Denim, in a Message.

“With a shared goal of achieving new levels of sustainability, our partnership with BastCore creates exciting opportunities that support US agriculture and its use of world-class practices and responsibly sourced products,” added Maggard.

Cone Denim recently presented its “US Hemp Collection” with BastCore at the KingPins Amsterdam Show in April and July.

The line includes a range of fabrics made from BastCore’s US-grown hemp, along with other locally sourced materials such as natural indigo.
