An Extinction Rebellion activist disrupted a concert in the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam tonight. Visitors were not pleased and pushed the man out of the room.
The activist was sitting in the hall and suddenly climbed into his chair during the performance of Verdi’s Requiem. “Sorry, this is an emergency, we are in the middle of a climate crisis,” he shouted through the great hall to draw attention to the climate crisis.
Visitors tried to drown him out by shouting ‘boo-hoo’. Concertgoers also shouted for the man to sit down. He was soon pulled over by an angry visitor and several people pushed him out of the room to loud applause.
