C.face on the present for face the future with responsibility, vision and hope. For the concert on May 1st in Rome there could be no more topical issue than this given the difficult historical period we are experiencingwedged between the end of a pandemic and the outbreak of war in Ukraine.

The Concertone 2022 in Piazza San Giovanni will be a collective story of music and wordsa moment of aggregation that can, perhaps, also solicit discussion on the issues which concern everyone’s social life, such as work, health, status of women, safety, rights, tolerance and hospitality.
For its return to the square, the Concertone once again wants to present itself as avant-garde stage that returns a reliable photograph of the Italian music of today and tomorrow. As per tradition, she will host – strictly live – the best of today’s music: some of the new realities of the current national scene flanked by historical names and icons of Italian song.
The artists confirmed so far
Among the first confirmed names, to perform in Piazza San Giovanni will be Aries, Bresh, Coez, Fasma, Mace ft Venerus, Colapesce, Gemitaiz, Thiele, Mara Sattei, Mecna, Rancore and Rovere.
But that’s not all: for the first time ever, the artists of Notre Dame de Paristhe most famous modern popular opera in the world, with a special performance that celebrates twenty years of extraordinary success.
The event verwill be broadcast as always live on Rai 3, Rai Radio2 and Rai Play.

In the afternoon, the three winners of 1MNEXT 2022the contest of the Concertone that every year awards the best 3 emerging proposals from over 1000 subscribers.
The three winners will be selected during the live final to be held on April 23 in Romethrough the vote of the jury composed of the president Massimo Bonelli (artistic director of the May Day Concert), Anna Rampinelli (A&R Manager Warner Music Italy), Claudio Cabona (Rockol), Lucia Stacchiotti (iCompany), Barbara Pierro (CGIL), Nicola Di Grigoli (CISL) e Francesco Melis (UIL).

These are the 10 finalists of 1MNEXT 2022: Cristiana Verardo (Lecce), Fran and troubling thoughts (Turin), Giorgieness (Turin), Greta Portacci (Lecce), Jess (Milan), Mille (Milan), Mira (Casapulla – CE), Rumba de bodas (Bologna), Scrima (Rome) and Volpe (Castelnuovo Garfagnana – LU). The winner of the contest will be proclaimed during the Concertone: a real honor for those who are now entering the world of Italian music.
