Concert interrupted: Adele requested contact information

Superstar Adele hosted an invitational bridge on TV2 today, filmed at London’s iconic Palladium Theater in November 2021. There are a huge number of celebrities here, including Emma Watson, Dawn French, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Boy George, Ben Kingsley, Naomi Campbell, Suranne Jones, Jodie Comer, Dua Lipa, Olly Alexander, Samuel L. Jackson, Mel B and Idris Elba.

Actor Emma Thompson responsible for the real surprise of the evening. In the middle of everything, she asks Adele if she had a person in her younger life who supported, encouraged and inspired her. Yes, Adele had: a mother tongue teacher, ma’am MacDonaldwho sadly changed schools when Adele was in eighth grade. Adele was only 12 years old at the time.

– Mrs. MacDonald only taught me for a year, but I got excited about literature and now I say my own songs. He was an insanely neat guy and really immersive. She was so nice that I was really looking forward to mother tongue lessons, Adele recalls in between performing the hits.

Emma Thompson listens to the answer from her stand and then answers the singer:

– Something strange has happened now. He is here!

And so Adele’s former teacher walks the stage out of the audience. Women hug each other warmly. Adele moves in greeting her old teacher even to the extent that after the meeting, the concert unexpectedly takes a short break when Adele’s makeup is put in order in front of an audience of two thousand. Before that, however, Adele has one question for her former teacher:

– Can I have your number? he asks.

– Of course, MacDonald, who has since left the job as a teacher, is responsible.
