The Kölner Haie could now complete a possible sixth quarter-final in the German Ice Hockey League (DEL) in their own hall.
The arena was actually blocked on March 26 because of a concert by Helene Fischer. The pop singer had to cancel her performance on Monday due to an injury.
“Due to Helene Fischer’s concert being postponed at short notice, the Lanxess Arena is now available to the sharks for a possible game six in the quarter-finals against Adler Mannheim,” announced the DEL.
The Haie are currently leading 2-1 in the best-of-seven series, four wins are needed to progress. The Haie had originally planned to hold a possible sixth quarter-final in Krefeld.
