Comprehensive treatment of obesity

Obesity may seem easy to explain. If a person consumes more calories than he needs, he will gain weight. But the truth is that it is not that simple. Obesity is more than a matter of weight.

This is a complex chronic disease, and losing weight is not just a matter of eating less and moving more. In fact, obesity can be influenced by genetics, physiology, the environment, work and education, and what happens in the brain.

Understanding these factors is critical as obesity is associated with other diseases, including type 2 diabetes, heart disease, and certain cancers, not to mention the stigma and prejudice millions of people experience every day.

In our current society, overweight and obesity are very common symptoms.

We know that food, in addition to being the substrate with which we feed ourselves, also has a symbolic meaning.

From biodecoding, aspects such as the feeling of hunger, preferring one type of food or another, the speed of each person’s metabolism or even allergies and eating habits, have a highly relevant emotional correlate that can help us understand how it is related to the emotional environment from which we also “nourish”.

Biodecoding states that the body gives a response to the stimuli of the events that the person experiences, whether the situation is real or imaginary.

For example, in cases where a person manifests obesity from birth, we can analyze both the emotional environment of the mother’s pregnancy and the family history behind that person.

There we can find clues that can help us understand the meaning of their body language. If the person continues to be overweight today, special attention must be paid to the behaviors or beliefs that the person continues to maintain.

At the same time, it is interesting to locate possible situations perceived as a threat in the emotional environment. For example, thinking that in the future we are going to lack something, that we must take care of everything ourselves, or that we must accumulate resources to be able to solve certain problems or become big to defend ourselves.

Likewise, from orthomolecular medicine, it is known that the increase in the abdominal adipose panicle generates an increase in adipocytokines that are inflammatory and prothrombotic mediators; which, along with physical inactivity, produces a picture of chronic inflammation, which as a result increases insulin resistance, triggering this cascade of reactions and diseases.

From the approach that I propose, we go from the emotional, finding clues in our present, past and tree; without neglecting from orthomolecular medicine conscious eating, physical activity, habits, supplements and a positive attitude towards life, focusing on where the important thing is.
