Wouter Pattyn’s nature photos are in themselves a feast for the eyes. And now composer and pianist Tom Kristiaan has set these pearls of nature in Europe to music. ‘Inspired by Nature’ is the name of the album with nature compositions.
“For example, in Iceland it is about emptiness, openness,” says Tom Kristiaan.
“I try to put that into it. In other pieces it is the warmth. Each piece is different, actually. That was a very nice exchange. The photographer looks at everything very visually from his domain. I then look at it more from the atmosphere and yes , it’s been a really fun project.”
