Commissions of inquiry in Congress: a story of little success

There was a time not too long ago when commissions of inquiry were all the rage. The legislature that had two presidents of the Government of different political persuasion, that of the motion of censure, added the record of seven commissions of this type approved. With the 2019 electoral advance, only two finished their work and their conclusions could be voted on. Two others, despite being approved, were never even constituted, and the remaining three declined without the months of work yielding any results.
