Commissioner also suspended from police academy

The commissioner has been teaching at the West Flemish police academy for more than ten years and has also been placed on non-active status there. They didn’t see that coming at the police academy, it sounds like he was a fixed value.

30,000 euros

The case came to light during an internal audit at the Wetteren police where he previously worked. There he would have put cash from fines into his own pocket. It is certainly about 30,000 euros.

The public prosecutor of East Flanders is investigating the case. The man was also responsible for the fines in other Flemish provinces.
