A 17-year-old boy from Waalre was arrested on Tuesday afternoon for a serious assault in Eindhoven. That’s what the police report. A 37-year-old Eindhoven resident was seriously injured in that assault. The man is still in hospital.
The boy turned himself in to the police station on Tuesday afternoon, where he was arrested.
On Friday evening, September 2, the Eindhoven resident was hit on the head out of nowhere on the Catharinaplein. He fell backwards and landed on a planter. The man was rushed to hospital and suffered serious injuries.
Further investigation is required to determine what role the 17-year-old played in the assault. At first, the police thought it was two large men between the ages of 25 and 30 who were responsible.
