The intermediate start of traditional skiing is a bravura of Finns year after year, writes Santtu Silvennoinen from Lahti. The Spring Congress of the International Ski Federation 2023 was held in May in Croatia. The 2023–24 competition calendar of the cross-country skiing world cup was held in the sunny city of Dubrovnik, which became famous for its fortress. The Finns can congratulate themselves under the leadership of calendar nipper Hannu Koivusalo, because Ruka and Lahti got starts that serve the blue and white athletes in the best possible way.
