Let’s make this clear right away.
It is the only correct solution that the Russians have been thrown out of international cross-country skiing because of Vladimir Putin’s arbitrary war of aggression.
When international cross-country skiing is viewed only through a sporting lens, the Russian men’s skiers should be brought back immediately.
In the 2019, 2021 and 2023 World Ski Championships, a total of 16 men’s starts have been held. Fifteen times the Norwegian flag has been on the middle pole.
Aleksandr Bolshunov is the only athlete who has made it to the Norwegian championships. He won the 30 km World Championship combined race on February 27, 2021.
If and when Bolshunov’s ice age ends at some point, the return may not be the warmest possible. Putin promoted the skier to captain of the Russian National Guard after last season’s Olympics.
Is Bolshunov a Putinist or a Putinist by necessity?
