“When I was Alderman for Culture at the time, I proposed to Merho to dedicate a Kiekeboe story to our beautiful municipality,” says Mayor Wilfried Vandaele. “The result was the album ‘All the ducks’, which is set entirely in De Haan. Merho was inspired for the story by the Concession, our Belle Epoque party Trammelant and the ghost of Einstein, who still haunts De Haan.”
