Gottfried became known for his shrill voice and his blunt humor. He made his breakthrough as a comedian in New York theaters in the 1970s and was noticed by the program afterwards Saturday Night Live† Gottfried was part of the show’s permanent ensemble for many years.
Gottfried, however, got his greatest fame as a voice actor. He voiced parrot Iago in the 1993 film aladdin from Disney.
Another popular film series that Gottfried starred in is the series problem child, from the nineties. Gottfried has made many podcasts in recent years. In his series Amazing Colossal Podcast he talked about famous old movies and chatted with celebrities from the showbiz world. In 2017, a documentary about Gottfried’s work and life was released.
