New-fangled pension professor Bastiaan Starink argued in this newspaper last week for a pension obligation for self-employed workers. He also criticized the tax advantages of self-employed workers. I agree with a general pension obligation, including for self-employed persons. I have argued for this many times before. However, it is cool that self-employed workers wrongly enjoy tax benefits. On the contrary: it is correct!
