Why do I find the message that Gordon wrote the song? Again and again Singing out of tune is so funny? This is due to the words vals, Gordon and the title ‘Eelkens again’. It is such a beautiful summary of this chronic attention organ. It made me happy for two days and actually I still am a little bit.

I also got a good mood from the news about a safari park in India where a commotion has arisen about a lion and a lioness living together in an enclosure without being married. Being unmarried is not the problem, but the names of the animals are. Lioness Sita and lion Akbar. She is named after a Hindu god and he after a Muslim ruler.

The devout Hindus have a hard time with this because the Muslim ruler Akbar was not such a fresh boy in the past. Certainly not towards the Hindus, who are still furious about the matter.

I keep thinking about the innocent lion couple who know nothing about themselves. Maybe they have a great time together and occasionally love each other when it is pleasantly dark. Who knows, maybe they will eat a lamb or a few stripes of zebra together, after which they will relax in the sun.

There they wonder why half the city further away is on fire. So many plumes of black smoke. And why are those police sirens so loud? This is due to the riots that have arisen because of their names. People demand that the lion and lioness be separated. Maybe there will be thaws.

Is it an idea to let Sita and her husband eat those corpses? This saves the safari park costs. So it only concerns the name of the lion. Why don’t they call him Paul? Paul de Leeuw. Sounds like fun. But then perhaps believers will become angry again about the orientation of the man after whom the beast is named. Or are there objections from the LGBTQIA+ world because Paul has to live with another lion and not forced to live with a lioness. People are funny and above all touching.

Speaking of names. There are calls for the Andries Bickerweg in The Hague to be renamed the Aleksej Navalnyweg. This allows you to bully Putin because the Russian embassy is located there. And the intention is to do this not only in The Hague, but in all cities in the world where the Russians have an embassy or consulate. Simply because they have to print it on their stationery.

Because of the Navalnyweg there is a chance that they will move their embassies. Perhaps it would be nice to give those new streets the names of opponents murdered by Putin. Plenty of choice. Then you get the Yushenkovlaan, the Anna Politkovskaya Boulevard or the Boris Berezovsky Drive. No streets that are easy to pronounce. What about Yuri Shchekochichin Avenue? That you have to tell the taxi driver about that street after a nice evening in a thirsty café. If I lived there I would move.

Shchekochichin was a critical journalist who was removed by our cheerful Vladimir in 2006. Not officially murdered by the way. The man suddenly became ill and was dead two weeks later. The cause of death was never investigated. Fortunately, Putin does that with Navalny. He takes plenty of time to find out exactly what happened during that walk. Caught a Siberian cold? Just might.

The far right, which likes to sympathize with Putin, is angry about the playful Navalnyweg plan. Then, as far as they are concerned, there should also be a Julian Assange Square. Or an Edward Snowden alley. I think it’s allowed, but they have to be killed first. Let’s agree that these gentlemen should be poisoned at least twice. Or fell out of a hotel window. And terribly locked up in a degrading prison camp. That seems to me to be a reasonable condition for naming a path after someone.

I’m going to make a song about Putin. Title? Again and again.
