The Columbus Blue Jackets NHL team visited Tampere and lost twice to the Colorado Avalanche at Nokia Arena. After Saturday’s losing match, some of the team arrived in a rather tired and exhausted mood for a chicken meal at Kehräsaari’s Hook restaurant in Tampere.

Patrick Laine had already reserved their own corner and tables in the restaurant for the team four weeks earlier. Privacy was wanted for the players, and Hook was emptied of other customers at 11 p.m.

As a ride boy, NHL hockey players washed down their wings with Finnish beer. The team arrived at the wing after 11 p.m. in droves and spent a good couple of hours in the restaurant. There were about fifteen players there, and there were also coaches and guardians.

Columbus’s Finnish goalkeeper Joonas Korpisalo skipped the chickens and beers after the losing games in Tampere and hunkered down in the hotel to sleep.

The shift manager of the restaurant who served the players, the ideal girl of the 2020 Miss Finland pageant press Rebecca Mountain describes the evening and atmosphere for Iltalehti.

– Clever, top athlete-like behavior, but of course the joy was not at the top. No joy. The players were hungry and thirsty, but the beer was consumed in moderation, Rebecca describes her NHL guests.

Patrik Laine is a regular customer of the restaurant, and he had a name tag stuck to the surface of his protein-rich dishes.

– Laine’s portion is called Hattutemppu, Hat trick, Vuorio knows.

He is happy that the food was tasty and the group enjoyed their team spirit.

According to Iltalehti’s information, the team’s players visited the restaurant a few times earlier during the week. The tips left by the players have made the staff smile.

After the wing dinner, some of the team members continued the evening at the Ilona nightclub in Tampere. According to information from Iltalehti, the crew of both Blue Jackets and Avalanche celebrated in Ilona.

Both teams had their own booths in the restaurant, and the teams spent the evening in warm harmony with each other.

The teams’ next regular season match is scheduled for Thursday.
