The US outdoor outfitter Columbia Sportswear Company has found a new person responsible for its Sorel brand. On Thursday evening, the company announced the appointment of Cory Long as President of Sorel.
According to the company, Long will assume his new role in December. He succeeds Mark Nenow, who resigned in June for personal reasons. Since then, Craig Zanon, Senior Vice President, Emerging Brands, has been leading the brand on an interim basis.
According to his future employer, Long has many years of experience in the shoe and clothing industry. Most recently, he worked at DC Shoes as Global General Manager and Chief Global Merchant. Before that, he worked for well-known brands such as Mitchell & Ness, Asics, Supra and Converse.
