Colorful continues: Superorganism show new video for “crushed.zip”

Superorganism have released the third single from their forthcoming album WORLD WIDE POP, “crushed.zip”. Hear and see the song streamed here:

Like the clips for It’s Raining (feat. Pavements Stephen Malkmus) and Teenager, the music video for crushed.zip was shot by director AEVA.

Band member Harry says of the song, “It’s a musical journey through the fears and isolation that being an artist can bring, but ultimately it’s great.” Orono adds, “I’ve been thinking a lot about Kanye and Elliott Smith (which is most of the time). I wanted to make a really depressing and personal song, but with an absolutely obtrusive pop packaging. Stuart Price’s production really took the song to the next level.”

Superorganism’s debut album, with a different line-up at the time, was released in March 2018. ME editor Jochen Overbeck said of SUPERORGANISM: “Lots of colorful weird pop smarties: on their debut album, the London pop collective keeps the promises made by the Vorab – Singles gave. “ A few months earlier, Superorganism found themselves as the “band of the hour” in our 2018 hotlist.

WORLD WIDE POP will be released on July 15, 2022 via Domino.
