A rear-end collision took place in Assen at the end of the afternoon on the Balkenweg, the N371. Three cars collided near the roundabout with the Hoofdvaartsweg. One person was injured and taken to hospital.
The road between Assen and Bovensmilde is therefore closed to traffic. Because it is rush hour, the road is very busy. Traffic on the Balkenweg is therefore at a standstill.
