When two cars collided at an intersection in Berlin-Wedding, four people were seriously injured – including a four-year-old boy.

The cars of a 36-year-old and a 41-year-old collided shortly after 6 p.m. on Tuesday evening at the Seestrasse/Osloer Strasse intersection, the police said on Wednesday. The 41-year-old’s car was thrown onto the central island and against a traffic light mast, which broke off as a result.

According to the police, the two drivers suffered serious trunk injuries, the four-year-old and a 28-year-old who were in the 36-year-old’s car suffered severe trunk and head injuries. All four were taken to a clinic.

The broken traffic light mast temporarily affected tram traffic on lines M13 and 50. The crossing was partially closed. The cause of the accident was still unclear.
