Several cars were involved in an accident on the A28 near De Punt this morning. As far as we know, no people were injured.
The accident caused considerable delays on the highway. After the accident, traffic was guided past the accident site via the hard shoulder between Assen-Noord and Eelde. This caused a traffic jam of 7 kilometers and road users took an hour longer to travel the stretch.
It also got stuck on the N34 towards Zuidlaren towards the A28. There too the delay was up to an hour.
