“Collectors from Dubai” turn out to be scammers and steal banknotes in the Ypres region

The Arro Ieper police zone has recently received reports of people who introduce themselves as residents of Dubai in a shop. They supposedly collect banknotes in a specific sequence of digits in the code.

The scammers always work in the same way: they ask the cashier to check the notes, looking for notes with the correct code. The servant gets the money back, but the perpetrators have made off with some banknotes.

The police ask that anyone who notices anything suspicious report it immediately to her.
