Collector of car logos strikes in Waalwijk

Car owners on the Waalwijkse Molenvlietstraat were surprised Friday morning at their car: the brand logos had disappeared from several cars.

These are logos of the Daihatsu, Toyota and Skoda brands. A local resident had heard a strange noise just after midnight and saw another man walking away with a bag from the Jumbo, probably filled with the stolen logos.

Police are calling on witnesses to come forward. “Do you know who this collector is? Or do you have images with the car logo thief? Let us know,” the police write in a message on Facebook. “Are you the perpetrator and do you not want to be seen? Then report to the police station in Sprang-Capelle.”

French fries fat
Not only in Waalwijk, also in Eersel people were targeting car logos. The thefts were committed in 2015. A then 19-year-old woman and a 22-year-old man were arrested after they had destroyed cars for months. Dozens of car logos were found. The damage ran into the thousands of euros.

The two came into the picture after French fries fat was thrown over a parked car. When the man and woman were questioned about this, their involvement in the cases emerged.
