The cup in question costs just one and a half pounds (just under two euros) and dates back to Silver Jubilee, or the 25 years on the throne of Queen Elizabeth, celebrated in 1977. In 2012, while visiting the Isle of Sark in the English Channel, she and Carlo couldn’t help but laugh when they noticed the lively corgi included in the vignette that decorated two cups received as a gift for the occasion. They themselves figured on the back (or almost …) of two local sheep.

The Duchess of Cornwall will certainly be interested in the new souvenirs launched for the celebrations of 70 years on the throne of the sovereign, which will be held in London from 2 to 5 June.
