Collaboration Drenthe College and WPDA expanded: ‘Concrete successes achieved’

Drenthe College school community and support agency Werkplein Drentsche Aa (WPDA) are expanding their collaboration. “We have a common goal of social security,” they write.

The collaboration has achieved many results over the past four years. “A number of examples are guidance programs by career coaches and trajectory counselors, integration and status holder programs, and the start of catering training courses in collaboration with Hof van Saksen. We also guide approximately 300 students every year to a new place in education,” the parties write.

The aim of expanding the collaboration is to help as many people in Drenthe as possible with, among other things, ‘sufficient and predictable income, meaningful daily activities, widely accessible education and affordable housing’.

It is currently unclear how the two bodies intend to achieve these goals. They will jointly develop an approach for this in the coming years.
