When Coldplay played a concert at London’s Wembley Stadium on August 20, a fan asked singer Chris Martin for a drawing for a tattoo. He agreed and started drawing. “As soon as it happened, I burst into tears,” said the overjoyed fan.
Mattie Jolley is the name of the Coldplay worshiper. The fan attracted attention in the midst of the huge crowd with a homemade sign, which he bravely held up the whole time. And lo and behold – his wish was granted: According to reports, Martin even knelt on the stage and asked the fan for the necessary utensils. Jolley was fully equipped, of course, and handed him a pen and notepad. He described the design as “a really cool love heart that has a cool looking infinity sign around it.”
So last night still hasn’t hit. Getting Don’t Panic was great but better of all, Chris saw my sign and came down to me during Fix You to draw me a tattoo… like WHAT!!!!!! pic.twitter.com/ayw4Fz2EBC

Fan love that gets under your skin
“As soon as it happened, I burst into tears. When I realized what had just happened, I was even more in shock,” the fan said, according to Lad Bible. He still hasn’t completely overcome his shock: “He chose me from a crowd of 80,000 to make my evening even better. He didn’t have to do it, but I’m so grateful he did,” he continued.
The evening of August 20 will probably always be remembered by the fan. The concert was one of many held at Wembley Stadium. Coldplay performed ABBA’s hit “Knowing Me, Knowing You” and Kate Bush’s “Running Up That Hill”, among others. They previously performed with Craig David, Natalie Imbruglia and rapper Stormzy.
