Cold days ahead, with snow on Christmas Eve in Limburg | Interior

After a water-cold weekend, temperatures will continue to hover around freezing next week. Next weekend it will really freeze and we can expect snow in several places. Tomorrow, with package evening, there will be some snow in Limburg that will also stay.

The day starts tomorrow with some light rain. In the rest of the country it remains that way, Weerplaza knows. But not in Limburg, where the wet turns into snow in the course of the afternoon due to the cold. It stays put, especially in the hilly landscape. On Tuesday, due to the cold air above our country, we may also experience light winter precipitation in other places. The chances of it staying put are small.

We have not yet reached freezing point. Inland it is about 2 to 4 degrees Celsius, on the coast about 6 degrees. The days that follow also get this weather picture, although the sun sometimes peeps through on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Temperatures will continue to dip from Thursday, with several nights in which it will freeze inland. A southwesterly wind is blowing. It is not very cold, but because the air above our country is ice cold, the chance of a snow shower is a bit higher. Whether it stays put remains to be seen.

This period is a bit colder than normal at the beginning of December. On average it is about 6 to 8 degrees Celsius this time of year.
