Ada Colau, mayor of Barcelona en Comú, faces the two weeks of the electoral campaign with the attitude of someone who has governed. The mayoress will vindicate the work done, perhaps better to say started, and will defend its continuity. In fact, her argument for running for the third time was that the pandemic prevented the application of relevant policies within the expected deadlines, so the message is that: finish the work started.
Although the campaign, strictly, begins the night from Thursday to Friday (Colau will start it in La Paloma) It has already been days of intense pre-campaign. Logically, she looks much more comfortable than on her first attempt, and less tense than on the second. Perhaps some of this has to do with the image that the Comuns themselves convey that the mayoress resists more than expected in the electoral predictions.
From Nou Barris to the end of the campaign
But four years ago he did not win, although he later ruled. This time, besides wield its mobility policy, the ‘superilla’ as a banner, the advances in the expansion of the municipal housing stock and tourism regulation measures, among others, Colau will present a flag that he especially likes: Yolanda Díaz.
The Vice President of the Government and leader of Sumar will participate in three events in the two weeks of the mayoress’s campaign: next Saturday in Nou Barris; on Saturday, May 20, at the Mirador del Carmel, and at the closing ceremony, on Friday, May 26, when there were two days to go until the vote, in Sant Martí Park.
In fact, Díaz and Colau already started this long campaign-pre-campaign in an act on April 22. The mayoress looks very comfortable with the vice president.
Belarra, dates to close
It is also expected that the general secretary of Podemos, Ione Belarra, will go to Barcelona to campaign with Colau, but specific dates have not yet been set in this regard.

two circuits
Barcelona en Comú will have two campaign circuits. The first, that of Colau and the first candidates on his list. The second, with the rest of the members of the candidacy. The Colau circuit will consist of an event in the morning with city proposals, and in the afternoon there will be sectoral events and visits by the mayoress to neighborhoods in the city. For weekend mornings, the events with the most expected attendance are reserved.
