Coffin Elizabeth through London to final resting place

The coffin containing the late British Queen Elizabeth will be brought from the Scottish capital Edinburgh to Buckingham Palace in London on Tuesday. Early in the evening on Tuesday, the coffin will be flown by military aircraft from Edinburgh airport to RAF Northolt military airport. Princess Anne travels with her mother.

The hearse, which was designed especially for Elizabeth, then travels a fixed route through the British capital. Via Eastbourne Terrace, Lancaster Gate, Bayswater Road, Marble Arch, Park Lane and Hyde Park Corner to Constitutional Hill before arriving at Buckingham Palace. The coffin is then placed in the Bow Room at Buckingham Palace.

On Wednesday morning, the Queen will be taken to Westminster Hall, where she will remain until Monday morning, when the funeral will take place at Westminster Abbey. She will be taken there via Queen’s Gardens, The Mall, Horse Guards, Whitehall, Parliament Street, Parliament Square and New Palace Yard.
