Coevorden makes Drent’s walking network a bit more complete

Following in the footsteps of a number of Drenthe municipalities, a walking node network has also been constructed in Coevorden. Walkers use this to map out their own walking route using the nodes indicated by numbers.

The walking network was opened this afternoon in the presence of alderman Steven Stegen and provincial executive Henk Brink, among others. The latter underlines the ambition to roll out the interchange system throughout Drenthe. “The hiking network makes Drenthe more attractive as a hiking province and creates new opportunities for Drenthe entrepreneurs,” he says.

A map showing the nodes will be published soon, Recreation Board Drenthe reports.
