Village halls and associations in Coevorden will have longer to submit an application for the emergency fund for energy costs. The period in which applications can be made has now been extended by two months from May 1 to June 30 next year. In addition, the scheme has been expanded.
In April this year, the municipality made the emergency fund available for associations, village halls and outdoor swimming pools that were experiencing problems due to high energy costs. The municipality did this because these institutions are suffering greatly from high inflation and large price increases. From now on, drivers can also submit an application if they are in danger of running into problems with their rental costs.
The municipality of Coevorden is of the opinion that national regulations are not always sufficient for these parties. To maintain the facilities in the villages, Coevorden has chosen to create an additional scheme on top of the national measures.
Associations and foundations that have already submitted an application for the first period from November 1, 2022 to May 1, 2023 can submit a new application due to the extension of the rules. They can only apply for the period from May 1, 2023 to May 1, 2024.
