Code yellow for strong winds in the province: be careful tonight

The KNMI has issued code yellow for strong gusts of wind in the province. In some places the wind blows so hard that wind force 9 is measured. The warning applies at least until 10 p.m.

According to NH weatherman Jan Visser, wind gusts of up to 90 kilometers per hour occur along the coast. The wind on Texel is so strong that the wind force is officially 9, while in the rest of the province it is wind force 8.

Busy evening rush hour

In any case, the wind will continue to blow strongly until 10 p.m. tonight. The evening rush hour may be significantly affected by this, as showers will also pass through the province. Tuesday is normally one of the days on which the evening rush hour is busier, the ANWB warns.

Next days

According to Visser, the weather in the coming days will be changeable, to say the least. Tomorrow the wind will continue to blow, but it will clear up somewhat, especially in the afternoon, but rain is forecast again in the following days.
