The KNMI has declared code orange for this evening due to strong gusts of wind due to storm Louis. Code yellow applies from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, after which the wind increases and code orange applies.
In addition to heavy wind gusts, thunderstorms will also pass through the province. In the Wadden area and above the IJsselmeer, wind gusts of up to 120 kilometers per hour are expected, above land around 100 kilometers per hour.
The KNMI advises people to avoid wooded areas during code orange. It is also useful to secure or bring in loose items such as garden furniture and waste containers.
