Code orange again? Strong gusts predicted Sunday evening and night

We have barely recovered from storm Eunice, but we are not immediately granted peace on the weather maps. A new active cold front will pass over West Flanders today and tomorrow. In the afternoon the wind will already increase in strength at the sea, with gusts of up to 80 to 90 km/h. That is equivalent to code yellow.

Code orange again?

Heavy rain and showers, accompanied by locally strong gusts, that is the forecast for Sunday evening and night. The passage of an active cold front can bring wind speeds of up to 120 km/h along the coast. In that case, the RMI will probably scale up again to Code Orange. Which means that damage and nuisance from wind and rain are possible.

Monday will also be turbulent, due to a storm depression. There may also be winter showers with grain hail in between. It will also continue to be very windy on Monday.
