Limburg can prepare for stormy weather again on Friday. Between 13:00 and 16:00 there is a chance of severe thunderstorms with wind gusts of 100 kilometers per hour.
The Royal Netherlands Meteorological Institute (KNMI) has issued code orange. Initially, code yellow would be in force, but the KNMI is now coming back to that.
South Limburg
Especially in South Limburg there is a risk of (very) heavy wind gusts, local flooding and large hail of 2 centimeters or more. This can cause damage and danger from falling trees, flying objects and lightning strikes.
At the end of the afternoon the showers will move towards Germany.
Nuisance
On Thursday afternoon, severe weather also passed over Limburg. It rained reports to the emergency services. The stormy weather caused nuisance on Thursday, especially in the north of the province.
