Rob Penders leaves as head coach at FC Eindhoven. The former defender will start working at FC Utrecht as an assistant to Michael Silberbauer. The 47-year-old Penders signs a contract for three seasons. FC Utrecht will not continue with assistant Aleksandar Rankovic.
“The ambitions appeal to me to take the right steps with FC Utrecht. The Eredivisie has always been my goal, this is also the right step for me as a coach in my development, at a very nice club,” said Penders, who himself in professional football played for RBC Roosendaal and NAC Breda.
“Rob has proven to be an excellent trainer at FC Eindhoven in the past two seasons. His modern view of the game and the practice material he uses to challenge players really appeal to us,” explains technical director Jordy Zuidam. Penders.
It is not yet known who will become head coach at FC Eindhoven.
