Coach Laura Romeo talks about how: “Communication determines the results”

As a Coach I worked in very diverse companies, for different provinces, in Leadership and as an Individual Coach. They seem very different jobs but they are all made up of people and my job is people.

“I like this saying: “One hand washes the other and both wash the face”.

Having a good relationship between team members opens up possibilities, allows new ideas and actions to emerge.

We all know that the opinion we have about our future affects our state of mind. And from there we will see reality.

If we were our best friend, how would we encourage each other?

I am really sure that one can enjoy work and it can be a space where, in addition to being productive, we expand. Discovering that we can do things we didn’t know about increases our self-esteem.

Let’s build teams that look for results no matter who chose the strategy. It is about cooperation, not competition.

Why is it so important that others see that we are critical to achieving the goal?

Maslow’s pyramid explains a universal feeling: once the human being has covered his needs for food and shelter, what he wants is to be recognized.

This is valid both for the manager who is at the top of the organizational chart, and for the collaborator who is at the bottom. For the person of any nationality, political or religious ideology.

Having good communication and listening to opinions is essential to create a good work environment and make things happen.

When we were children we asked with interest the why and the for what of each thing. We were interested in understanding and eagerly awaited the answers to discover the world. Let’s get that innocence back, let’s be curious.

Before graduating from Coach, I obtained the title of National Actress. From that profession, if I have to play a character, I need to know how they think and how they feel (or make it up). Without these data it is impossible to make a good representation.

Let’s be attentive to all language: what they tell us and what they don’t tell us. Let’s read the behaviors.

Many times we ask to buy time and meanwhile, we are looking for all the things we can answer to win the conversation. That’s when we lose the opportunity to work as a team, to have allies instead of enemies.

If all we want is to impose our points of view, we are losing a palette of possibilities. Excellence comes from great ideas, no matter who the author was.

Let’s be empathetic, creative, curious, imaginative, flexible. Humanity is the most valuable thing we have.
