Co-organizer Van der Veen leaves Boerenrockfestival

Bjorn van der Veen is leaving as co-organizer at the Boerenrock Festival in Drouwenermond. In addition to safety, media and construction, among other things, he was responsible for the tractor pull in recent years.

Van der Veen was involved in the organization of Boerenrock for over 15 years. “In recent years we have experienced and achieved a lot together. A festival that stands like a house and has the potential to grow, both in terms of size and in atmosphere and experience,” says Van der Veen.

“That growth will demand more time, effort and priorities from the organization, but it is not adaptable to me.” Van der Veen will remain involved in the festival as a sponsor.

Boerenrock started in 2006 as a party night in the local pub and grew into a multi-day festival. Last year’s edition attracted between 47,000 and 48,000 visitors.
