The co-driver of a car has hung a ‘baby’ from the window of the moving vehicle. A video of the incident at IJmuiden appeared on video platform dumper and ended up with the police. They went after the vehicle.
Research shows that it is not a real baby but a doll, but the police warn not to do such things: “It scares people and can cause (traffic) dangerous situations”, according to the police.
The video platform reacts with surprise to the video: “If this is real, a visit from the police is in order,” someone responds. “Hello youth services, are you watching?”, another responds. Another: “What idiots, soon you will cross a threshold and your baby will be gone.”
Good conversation
The police say they had ‘a good conversation’ with the driver and passengers. “They themselves were quite shocked by the fuss,” says a police spokesman.
They are not prosecuted.
