con Milano Moda Uomo closing, we are already thinking about the next ones September 2023 women’s fashion shows. And the Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana has already announced the key event of the Spring-Summer 2024 fashion week: the CNMI Sustainable Fashion Awards 2023.

The ceremony, complete with a red carpet – even if on closer inspection the last one was pink – which rewards sustainable fashion, now sixth editionwill be held on September 24th at La Scala Theater in Milan, at the end of Fashion Week. And for this year it will be enriched with new jurors, who will reward the emerging designers who have distinguished themselves the most on the theme, more current than ever, of circularity in a fashion key. What are the news and details to know, in anticipation of the gala evening of the CNMI Sustainable Fashion Awards 2023? Who will we see among the protagonists?

The selections

The process of selecting the winners also for this edition saw the involvement of a Advisory Committee, made up of 25 Italian and international non-profit associations and organizations dealing with sustainable fashion. The green realities will take care of the 150 applications received with the involvement of over 25 Associations from all over the world, assigning a score.

Later, one International Jury will award for each category i three candidates who scored the highest score. A preliminary ESG due diligence framework created by EFI-Ethical Fashion Initiative in collaboration with CNMI will be used to measure the sustainability of the sector and to award the prizes.

Also this year the Jury will be chaired by the Ellen MacArthur Foundation (EFI extension), an international charity committed to creating a circular economy, with the CEO at the forefront Andrew Morlet, chief executive officer Ellen macArthur foundation, as well as 10 personalities who have distinguished themselves in the field of sustainability. Other prominent names: Charles Capasapresident of CNMI, Simone Ciprianihead and founder of the Ethical fashion initiative of the International trade centre, Federica MarchioniCEO of Global fashion agenda, the artist Michelangelo Pistoletto (who designed the historic symbol of the event, the Third Paradise, which since 2012 has represented the CNMI’s commitment in this area with the drafting of the Sustainability Manifesto for Italian fashion) and the model and activist Teddy Quinlivan.

The prices

The prizes delivered will be 10, two of which will see the involvement of the Ellen MacArthur Foundation and The Bicester Collection: The Ellen MacArthur Foundation Award for Circular Economy and The Bicester Collection Award for Emerging Designers. On the one hand, theawards for industry leaders which are distinguished by the application of circular economy principles, on the other for the new green generationwhich will benefit from three emerging designers sustainable and will include access to the mentorship programme, as well as the opportunity to participate in upcoming The Creative Spot pop-up boutiques in one of The Bicester Collection shopping villages in Europe and China.
