Last active at Rangers
Leon Balogun continues his career with Queens Park Rangers in the Championship. The 34-year-old central defender, who was last without a club after his contract with Glasgow Rangers ended, has signed a one-year contract with QPR. Balogun will once again meet coach Michael Beale, whom he knows from his time at Rangers, at his new employer.
“It’s a great relief to know I can play again and I’m looking forward to it. We’ve been talking for a few weeks now and I’m glad we made it,” Balogun said. Born in Berlin, he once played for Mainz, Düsseldorf, Hanover and Bremen in the Bundesliga – his CV includes 75 games (one goal, two assists) in the German upper house.
