Of course, Van Oostrum is still closely following ‘his’ FC Emmen. The Drenthe are well on their way to promotion to the Eredivisie, but the two-time Footballer of the Year nevertheless has enough to criticize about the state of affairs at the club. He thinks, among other things, that FC Emmen does not deal well with the heroes of the past. Van Oostrum is not unsympathetic to a job at FC Emmen, but a phone call has never been made.
