FC Bayern is in talks with Tel consultants
Mathys Tel mostly only made short appearances this season. However, that doesn’t mean that the German record champions don’t have the 18-year-old on their radar – on the contrary. As the well-informed transfer expert Fabrizio Romano and the “Bild” newspaper unanimously report, there is said to have been a meeting between FC Bayern and the winger’s side.
Accordingly, sports director Christoph Freund and Tel’s advisor Gadiri Camara are said to have sat down and talked about the future of the talent. The Munich team had signaled that they would like to keep Tel and plan with him in the future. The offensive player’s contract, which runs until 2027, could also be extended early. If Thomas Tuchel had remained coach beyond the summer, Tel would probably have had ambitions to leave the club, the Sun reported.
FC Bayern is apparently not Alonso’s desired destination
According to reports from “The Athletic” and the “Bild” newspaper, Xabi Alonso is FC Bayern’s preferred candidate for the coaching position starting in the summer. Apparently the Spaniard himself has other plans based on the current situation. As the French portal “Foot Mercato” reports, Alonso is currently more interested in Liverpool FC as a possible destination.
The reason for this is the more stable and consistent situation with the English compared to FC Bayern. The constant unrest among the German record champions is not very conducive to wooing the coach of Bayer Leverkusen.
Bayern star Coman back in running training
Bayern Munich can probably plan on adding winger Kingsley Coman again in the not too distant future. The French international completed running training with the record champions for the first time on Monday morning after tearing the medial ligament in his left knee. Coman was injured in the Bundesliga game against FC Augsburg (3-2) at the end of January.
Like the 27-year-old, right-backs Noussair Mazraoui and Sacha Boey took further steps towards the desired comeback. The Moroccan international and the Frenchman also completed their first runs. Bayern professional Laimer back in the squad after injury
Konrad Laimer missed the last four Bundesliga games against FC Augsburg (3:2), Borussia Mönchengladbach (3:1), Leverkusen (0:3) and VfL Bochum (2:3) due to a torn muscle in his left calf. Now the midfielder is available to coach Thomas Tuchel again.
The 50-year-old announced this at the press conference before the league game against Leipzig on Saturday (from 6:30 p.m. in the t-online live ticker). The Austrian started team training again on Thursday.
However, the German record champions will still have to do without Kingsley Coman, Sacha Boey, Noussair Mazraoui, Bouna Sarr, Serge Gnabry and Alphonso Davies. Dayot Upamecano is also suspended.
