Club Brugge will soon present Scott Parker as the new trainer. Unless Club Brugge and Scott Parker do not reach an agreement in extremis, the 18-time England international will succeed Carl Hoefkens, HLN reports.
The Danish national coach Kasper Hjulmand and Steven Gerrard were at the top of Club Brugge’s wish list, but did not respond to the interest for various reasons. Parker did. The former midfielder of Chelsea, Newcastle United, West Ham United and Tottenham Hotspur, among others, had been unemployed since the end of August after being fired from Bournemouth.
Noa Lang, Ruud Vormer and Björn Meijer
As a trainer, Parker was promoted to the Premier League with Fulham and Bournemouth. At Club Brugge he will have to deal with the Dutch Noa Lang, Ruud Vormer and Björn Meijer, among others. Bruges, number four in the Belgian league, will face Benfica in the round of 16 of the Champions League.
