Club Brugge loses gala match against AZ Alkmaar

Ronny Deila’s team started the match strongly and took the lead after just two minutes thanks to a gift from AZ Alkmaar. Skov Olsen took full advantage and kicked in the 1-0. The good start of the blue-black, however, did not have a sequel because barely six minutes later, Mats Rits unfortunately headed the ball into his own goal, 1-1. Club Brugge played better football in the second half, but they didn’t create any chances. With half an hour to play, AZ Alkmaar took the lead after a goal from the Japanese Sugawara. Blauw-zwart was no longer able to create a chance and eventually lost against the Dutch.
