• Five positions left in Munger depot
• Investments not touched
• Portfolio value of $174.930 million
Munger’s depot without change
The portfolio of the star investor, Berkshire Hathaway Vice President Charlie Munger, remained untouched compared to the previous quarter. However, the stock exchange professional had to cope with some losses in the value of his individual positions. Only one investment was worth more in the second quarter of 2022 than in the three months before.
Since the invested assets exceed a value of 100 million US dollars, Munger also has to submit the 13F form to the US Securities and Exchange Commission every three months and disclose his investments.
5th place: POSCO shares
POSCO has been in Charlie Munger’s depot since the fourth quarter of 2013. As in the previous quarter, Munger held 9,745 shares in the steel group in the second quarter of 2022. As of the reporting date, these were valued at $434,000. Compared to Q1, however, the value of the investment has fallen by almost 25 percent.
4th place: US Bancorp stock
US Bancorp’s holdings make up 3.68 percent of Munger’s portfolio. Here, too, the stock market expert left the participation unchanged. The 140,000 shares were worth $6.442 million as of the reporting date, down 13.43 percent from three months earlier.
3rd place: Alibaba stock
Amazon competitor Alibaba remains in third place in the second quarter of 2022. In contrast to the first quarter of 2022, Munger did not touch this position. At that time, the investment professional had thrown hundreds of thousands of Alibaba shares out of the portfolio. Munger continues to hold the remaining 300,000 Alibaba titles, which are worth 4.48 percent more than from January to March with a total value of now more than 34.104 million US dollars.
2nd place: Wells Fargo stock
In second place is a US financial company: Wells Fargo. As in the first quarter, Munger holds 1,591,800 Wells Fargo shares valued at $62.351 million (-18.36 compared to the previous quarter).
#1: Bank of America stock
In the second quarter of 2022, Charlie Munger will remain true to his top investment. The Berkshire vice president has held shares in Bank of America since the fourth quarter of 2013. The number of shares remained unchanged: 2,300,000 BofA shares are in the portfolio. However, with a value of $71.599 million as of June 30, 2022, the holding posted a whopping 24.48 percent loss in value.
