Climb on the first Big Bench of Belgium in Hooglede

The Big Benches are the idea of American designer and artist Chris Bangle. When he moved from Germany to Clavesana in 2009, he wanted to create something that everyone could use. This is how the idea for the first Big Bench, which was placed in Clavesana in 2009, was born. The bench is 2.5 meters high and 3.20 meters wide.

Martine Baeyens from Hooglede, also known for the regional products of De Proone, discovered these benches in Italy and passed on the idea to the information point Trimard Hooglede, who started applying for the realization of the first Big Bench in Belgium.
