Even on German Unity Day, the climate criminals won’t leave us alone…
At around 3:40 p.m. the radicals blocked traffic at the main train station. About seven members of the so-called “Last Generation” stuck to Invalidenstrasse. Nothing worked anymore. There were also blockades at the Frankfurter Tor and the street could not be passed in the afternoon.
A BVG bus was also affected on Invalidenstrasse. The driver let his passengers get out. At least they could continue on their way.
The seven blockers were removed from the road by the police. Then their identities were established. It is unclear whether they were taken into police custody.
Apparently access to the Olympic Stadium is also blocked
According to “t-online”, climate activists blocked the access roads to the Olympic Stadium before the kick-off of Union Berlin’s Champions League game against Braga. The stickers are said to have stuck to the street on the Rudolf Wissel Bridge, thereby delaying the arrival of some fans.
The good news: When asked by the BZ, a police spokesman on site said “that all fans were in the stadium on time”.
Other activists also tried to block traffic and glue themselves to the corner of Minna-Cauer-Strasse and Invalidenstrasse. But the police were quicker and were able to prevent this action.
According to the activists, traffic on the A100 was also brought to a standstill due to sit-ins. According to BZ information on Spandauer Damm, Konstanzer and Detmolder Straße. Now the traffic is moving again.
