Concerns about climate change declined globally last year as the threat mounts: Less than half of those polled in a global survey believe climate change poses a ‘very serious threat’. The Belgians are champions on a European scale in diminishing climate concern. “Yet everyone now understands what climate change does. Drought, floods, rising sea levels: we see it with our own eyes,” says climate scientist Wim Thiery (VUB).
